A. Local:

(i) Mucocele/Mucopyocele
(ii) Mucous retention cyst
(iii) Osteomyelitis
- Frontal bone
(more common)
- Maxilla

B. Orbital:

(i) Preseptal inflammatory
oedema of lids
(ii) Subperiosteal abscess
(iii) Orbital cellulitis
(iv) Orbital abscess
(v) Superior orbital fissure
syndrome
(vi) Orbital apex syndrome

C. Intracranial:

(i) Meningitis
(ii) Extradural abscess
(iii) Subdural abscess
(iv) Brain abscess
(v) Cavernous sinus
thrombosis

D. Descending infections(otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, Persistent laryngitis and tracheobronchitis)
E. Focal infections(polyarthritis, tenosynovitis, fibrositis)
